Neal Thomassen's interest in the video arts goes back to when he shot his first prank video at age 15 and later sold it to the Fox show Caught on Tape. After his first year at Eastern Connecticut State University, the business major became involved in television. He won ECSU’s “Most Entertaining TV show” in 1996 and 1997 for Life As We Know It. Since graduating ECSU with a BS in Business Administration, and a minor in Communications, the Southington (Conn.) native has immersed himself in the media industry as a producer, videographer, writer, director, and editor.  His credits include, WVIT-TV,  WB20, Lifetime Television, and CMT's The Insider.

Since 2000, Neal has worked as a videographer and editor for the American Federation of Teachers Connecticut.  He  also taught at the Connecticut School of Broadcasting. As Neal's contacts grew, he turned his attention toward networking events. In 2005, Neal brought the Global Entertainment Media Summit to Connecticut. In 2006, he entered the world of film with a fund-raiser for London Betty. The event has evolved into the annual Film Industry Mixer, a regional showcase of and resources for talent and crew. Neal resides in Glastonbury.
